The war has devastated Yemen to such an extent that even the United Aid officials have acknowledged that the country is onthe verge of a major catastrophe. The stories of thousands of children dying of starvation in the country have already left people around the world worried.

UN aid chief Mark Lowcock warned that Yemen was “on the brink of a major catastrophe”, as the world body pushes for peace talks in the impoverished and war-wracked country.
