ASI Finds Two Legged Coffins Dating Back To 2000 BC In UP

In what is being described as the first of its kind discovery, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has found artifacts including two decorated ‘legged coffins’ with skeletons, furnaces and other items. The findings came from an excavation in the Baghpat district, which began in 2018.


They also found rice and urad dal in pots, cattle bones, wild pig and mongoose buried along with bodies.
