Chennai Central Railway Station Misses The Honour Of Having Longest Name By Just One Alphabet

India could have got another record in its name of having a railway station with the longest name, but just lost by one letter. Puratchi Thalaivar DrM.G. Ramachandran Central Railway Station in Tamil Nadu, with 57 letters just missed by an alphabet to station with the name ‘Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch’ in Wales which 58 alphabets in its name. The Hindu reported.

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch in Wales continues to hold the record.

The Indian station in Chennai was renamed on April 5, 2019, after the legendary actor of Tamil Cinema and one of the prominent political figures in the state popularly known as MGR who founded AIADMK.
