Former Woman Fighter Pilot Lands Southwest 737 After Engine Blows Mid-Air, Saves 148 Lives

Recently, an engine of a Southwest Airlines flight carrying 149 people exploded mid-air and killed one passenger, who was nearly sucked out of a shattered window.

While this made headlines in various news publications, what people don’t know is that even though one person died, the remaining 148 were saved because of the female pilot who made a dramatic emergency landing.
