Fernando Alonso will be hitting the Brickyard this afternoon for his first laps around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
So the covers are off, and its a cracking livery!
The Spaniard’s McLaren-entered Andretti Autosport Dallara-Honda is captured here in the still of the Speedway.
Just like his McLaren-Honda MCL32, Alonso’s IndyCar will carry a classic ‘papaya orange’ livery, a throwback to McLaren’s works efforts at the Indy 500 in the 1970s.
One will note a few nice touches associated with the livery as the cursive writing of the drivers’ name, like all McLaren cars had back in the day, and the ‘Speedy Kiwi’ logo up front on the side of the nose.
Well done McLaren. Bruce would be proud…
