John Cena To Miss More WWE Time in 2019, Bryan vs. Murphy?

The new Toronto Sun interview with 16-time World Champion John Cena notes that Cena’s “growing film work in 2019” will keep him out of The WWE ring for long stretches of time. Cena is currently promoting The Bumblebee Movie. IMDB lists the following movies in the works for Cena to be released in 2019 and 2020 – The Janson Directive, Project X-traction, Playing with Fire & The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle. As previously reported, Cena will return to the ring for WWE at SmackDown & RAW Live Events later this month. Despite Cena being advertised for The January 7th RAW in Orlando, he recently stated that he will not be on TV. The return is reportedly scheduled to end in mid-January.
The official WWE website features a new poll asking fans which Cruiserweight they would like to see WWE Champion Daniel Bryan face following his victory over Mustafa Ali this week. As of right now, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy leads the pack with 31 percent of the votes. Following him, in order, is Cedric Alexander (23%), Hideo Itami (13%), The Brian Kendrick (5%), Drew Gulak (5%), Jack Gallagher (5%) and Akira Tozawa (4%).
