Liverpool to subsidise Nou Camp tickets for travelling fans by charging Barcelona supporters the same price

The Reds will face Barcelona with a place in the final up for grabs after they cruised past Porto 6-1 on aggregate.

The first leg will be a the Nou Camp, on May 1, and the La Liga club announced that tickets would cost away fans £103.

Liverpool hoped to agree a lower price for their fans but Barcelona reportedly were not interested.

Barcelona fans who make the journey for the second leg at Anfield, on May 7, will now be charged the same £103.

The club will then use the extra revenue to subsidise away ticket costs by £27 to bring the price for Liverpool fans travelling to the Nou Camp down to £76.

A similar policy was adopted by Manchester United for their quarter-final clash with the La Liga club.
