It’s likely he’ll get some minutes against Cardiff City, while several other youngsters, like Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes, and James Garner could also feature.

When asked about giving possible outgoing stars like Ander Herrera a final game, Solskjaer said: “You never know in football, it might be your last game but it might be the start of some careers as well. We had some young players knocking on the door all season and we’ll start with one or two of the kids as well.

Solskjaer has also had several other starlets training with the first-team as he looks to give them a chance to prove themselves.

Often at the end of a Premier League season it’s normal to see wonderkids get their debuts or some 90-minute run outs as clubs have little to nothing left to play for.

This has changed a little over the years where finishing even just one place higher gives clubs an extra cash injection.
