Tuesday night’s episode of SmackDown on the USA Network averaged 2.647 million viewers, up about one percent from last week’s rating.
That number follows the previous night’s Raw being down about six percent in the ratings.
Tuesday’s show was built around AJ Styles answering Shane McMahon’s challenge for a match at WrestleMania as well as a tag title match between The Usos and American Alpha.
SmackDown finished fourth for the night in total viewers on cable. It is usually in the bottom half of the top ten. The show was also first in the 18-49 demo with a 0.87 rating.
SmackDown’s ratings have settled in around the 2.6 million range, which is comfortably up from the 2.1-2.2 million it was averaging prior to the brand split and move to a live format on Tuesday nights.
The numbers may have been helped by the fact that both ABC and CBS ran repeat programming on Tuesday and ratings in the 8-10 p.m. block were down about 30 percent from normal levels.
