The Hammers, at their rented arena, have previously had a green covering over the athletics track which permanently resides at the ground as a legacy from the 2012 Olympics in the English capital.
In a statement on the club’s official website they revealed a ‘club-branded’ design will be in place for their fixture against Leicester City on April 20.
And added they had invested ‘significant funds’ thought to be around £250,000 after fan feedback.
West Ham United Vice-Chairman Karren Brady said: “This is wonderful and long-awaited news for the football club and our supporters. In the aftermath of the expert determination myself and the Board worked extremely hard to progress this because we knew how important it was to our fans.
