MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — The tallest residential tower in the world launched sales on Monday, developers announced.
Extell Development’s Central Park Tower — which will rise 1,550-feet-tall on West 57th Street between Seventh Avenue and Broadway — is offering two-bedroom units starting at $6.5 million and six-bedroom units starting at more than $100 million, developers announced. The tower is currently under construction.
“Over a decade of planning and collaboration with the world’s most talented architects, engineers and designers has resulted in Manhattan’s newest iconic structure,” Gary Barnett, Founder and President of Extell Development Company, said in a statement. “Central Park Tower introduces a level of design, quality and service that hasn’t been seen before. This building will stand out in New York City history as the singular residential offering that redefined luxury living.”
Developers touted the Central Park Tower’s design, floor plans, views and amenities in its sales launch announcement. The tower was designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture and interiors were designed by Rottet Studio.
Living and entertaining spaces in each apartment are situated in the corners of each apartment to maximize panoramic views of the city. Apartments on the north side of the tower will enjoy uninhibited views of Central Park.
“Central Park Tower was designed to take advantage of the spirit of the great city of New York and create an address worthy of its location on Billionaires Row and Central Park,” Gordon Gill of Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture said in a statement.
